Evangelist, Dr. Gena Ross

Dares to be Different.

Dr. Gena L. Ross is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She currently resides in Platte City, MO right outside of Kansas City, Missouri. Ross was born and raised in the Church of God in Christ and is a licensed Evangelist Missionary. Dr. Ross is a COVID-19 survivor. She was hospitalized at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020 and again in April. The devil had a plan to take her out, but God has other plans for her life. She was the first black female candidate for the US House of Representatives, Missouri, District 6. She was the primary winner defeating four other opponents and had $0.88 cents in her Congress checking account with only $1000.00. raised. She was defeated by a 20 year incumbent during the 2020 General Election. Nevertheless, she had 118,926 votes, over 30%. She is currently running for US Senate in Missouri, her Primary Election is August 2, 2022.

Gena Ross is an Associate Professor of Business at Kansas City Kansas Community College has an earned associate’s degree in Urban Ministries, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration a master’s degree in Public Administration with Honors. She earned her Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration conferred by Walden University with Honors. She is a member of the National Business and Professional Women’s Federation, COGIC. She was one of the award recipients for the“150 Most Influential COGIC International Women” (2015).

” March 28, 2020 I was hospitalized with COVID-19 for about 6 days. I was hospitalized again in April for another 4 days. I survived. God brought me out. I promised God I would tell my testimony how he kept me. He spared my life. I’m just blessed and thankful to be alive and that I am able to talk and give God my best praise.
